I have been thinking a lot about
Lam 3:22 [It is of] the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
I deserve instant destruction, but by His grace, I am not consumed. But His grace and mercy is even more amazing: instead of getting the destruction I deserve, God has given me what I need in salvation and daily provision, and His grace continues beyond that. God has not only given me what I need, but in His love He gives me some of my wants too! I think of all the blessings from last week. So many things that were not needs, just “wants” or “nice to haves,” but my loving Father gave many good gifts (Mat. 7:11)
Then I read
Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what [is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Our God is great and mighty and holy, yet He takes an interest in the small details of my life. That is really cool!
Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us …
Praise the Lord for His great love!
